AI Engineer
About This Role
Oryn designs and builds AI-driven software and business systems for small and growing businesses — including BookApt and the Business Systems platform. We're looking for an AI Engineer to help design, build, and ship the AI features that power our products, from booking intelligence and dashboards to client-facing automation.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and ship AI/ML features across Oryn's products, including BookApt's scheduling intelligence and business dashboards
- Integrate LLM-based tools — chat, summarization, recommendations — into production applications
- Build and maintain data pipelines that feed AI features with clean, reliable data
- Work with product and engineering to turn client and business requirements into working AI capabilities
- Prototype new AI approaches, then take the strongest ones to production
- Monitor and improve model and service performance in real-world use
What we're looking for
- ✅ Experience building and shipping AI/ML-powered features in production, not just research or prototypes
- ✅ Strong Python (or similar) skills, and experience integrating LLM APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic) or comparable services
- ✅ Experience with data pipelines, APIs, and cloud infrastructure
- ✅ Comfortable working independently in a small, fast-moving remote team
- ✅ Bonus: experience with scheduling, booking, e-commerce, or small-business software
